The Carolinas

North Carolina + South Carolina

Regional Focus

Kaplan Property Group works only in North and South Carolina. The focus is deliberate: it lets us judge each opportunity with direct knowledge of the place rather than from a distance.

The Carolinas are not one market. Two sites a few miles apart can face different demand, different competing supply, different land costs and site conditions, a different approval environment, and different construction economics. Growth around a site — new employment, roads, retail, schools — changes what a property will need to be years from now. Working in one region lets us learn those differences first-hand and choose locations on their own merits.

North Carolina

Several distinct markets.

North Carolina has several metropolitan areas with different economies, plus smaller cities and growing suburban corridors between them. We evaluate each location on its own employment base, existing and planned housing, and access — not on the state's overall growth.

South Carolina

Close to home.

South Carolina combines long-established towns with corridors that are growing quickly. Our office is in Columbia, which keeps us near the sites, municipal staff, consultants and contractors we work with.
